The sound quality is amazing. I've seen other reviews online claiming that this headset has the sound quality of headsets three times its price. Well, I can honestly say that they are right. The sound quality you get for the price is just absolutely amazing. Sound is crisp and clear, and it has more than enough bass to satisfy most people. The headset is also very comfortable and very light weight. Just remember that, as with any headset, it does take a few days to "break in", so when putting it on for the first time it might not feel all that comfortable at first. The only reason I don't give it a full 5 stars is because the earpads can get a little warm after a while, and this can lead to some very mild discomfort for glasses wearers during long gaming sessions. Just air out the earpads every once in a while during long sessions and you should be fine. Also be aware that the material the cable is made of makes it so that you can hear it in the earcups whenever the cable brushes up against something. I know that might drive some people mad. Just sit very still while using the headset and it shouldn't be a problem. It should be noted that out of the box the volume controls on the included USB sound card don't work on PlayStation 4. You need to download a firmware update from the Cooler Master website. It will tell you that the firmware you are trying to install is older than the one the headset shiped with, but you should overwrite it anyway. This firmware that you download from the Cooler Master website will enable the volume controls on the USB sound card to work with the PlayStation 4. And for those of you wondering, yes this headset does get loud enough on PlayStation 4 as long as you use the USB Sound card. I should point out that for some reason when I got my headset the mic was facing the wrong way. There are a bunch if tiny holes on the front of the mouth piece, and that is where you are supposed to speak into. Out of the box the area with these tiny holes on my mic was facing the wrong way, so I had to twist the mouth piece around until it faced the correct direction. I'm not sure if this is a common thing or if it's just something that happened to me, but be sure to check your mic. The part of the mouth piece with those tiny holes should be facing toward you. Just twist the mouth piece until you get it in the correct direction. You can also download and install the MasterPlus software from the Cooler Master website. This will allow you to set or tune the equalizer (EQ) of the headset. I recommend you create a "flat" preset and set all the EQ settings to zero, (in other words the halfway mark). This will give you the most balanced and most accurate sound profile. The headset does include 7.1 channel virtual surround sound through its USB sound card, but I recommend you keep it turned off, because all virtual surround sound is pretty garbage most of the time.
